California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment has extended the public comment period for its proposed listing of two controversial chemicals.
The agency extended the comment period at the request of the 3M Company for the agency’s Notice of Intent to List Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS).
The public comment period has been extended from October 16 to November 16. OEHHA announced its intent to list the chemicals on September 16.
Comments transmitted by e-mail should be addressed to P65Public.Comments@oehha.ca.gov(link sends e-mail) with “NOIL – PFOA and PFOS” in the subject line. Hard copy comments may be mailed, faxed, or delivered in person to the addresses below:
